We will be administering state assessments at the end of this school year. In accordance with school board policy, North Carolina End of Grade Tests (6-8 Reading, 6-8 Math, 8th Science) and other End of Year assessments (6-7 Science, 6-8 Social Studies) will comprise 20% of your middle school student’s final grade for the course.
Eighth grade students enrolled in high school courses, Math I and/or English I, will also take state assessments for those courses. These tests will comprise 25% of the student’s final grade. Students enrolled in Math I in grade 8 will only take the Math I EOC at the end of the school year.
Testing at the end of the year will take place starting the week of May 17th and will run through June 4th. It is imperative that students be present on testing days. Math retesting will take place after the first round of testing. All end of year testing must occur in person – even for remote students.
