Eighth graders have been spending the last few days studying physical and chemical properties and changes during a forensic science drug bust simulation. They tested solubility, pH, reaction to heat, acetic acid, and iodine, plus examined each substance with a microscope. Next week, they will present evidence to convict or acquit those in possession of the mystery substances.
